Deviant Art Semi-finalists Revealed
If you ask me they did a poor job judging. CCP should just have a go over all the submissions and just make their own informed choice instead.

Here's hoping CCP won't put up with this. They certainly deserved to have a fitting pool of semi-finalists to choose from, not this travesty.
The DA judges chose poorly. Shameless self-promotion aside, how in hell did line drawing of a catalyst beat out this???!

I sincerely hope that CCP will not stand up for DA on this matter. It's not just that Deviant Art failed the Eve community with this debacle, but they have also failed CCP. CCP had the right to expect that they would receive semi-finalists that were the cream of the crop. DA failed to deliver. Of this, there can be NO argument.
In the end CCP, it is up to you. We ask you to stand with us, your client base, and tell DA you insist on a better selection of finalists. Even if you look at the first three or four most popular pages of designs you will find many that far exceeded what DA picked.

I am very glad that CCP has stepped up on the community's behalf.
Someone mentioned whether or not having received the gift code meant your submission was not disqualified, I'm pretty sure this is wrong.
I received one of the first codes from $Heidi over 2 weeks and 1 day ago, yet, possibly due to shaded non-colored renders, Hobb3s Caldari Battleship somehow got beat out by that turd LA Battlecruiser.

Great work on keeping this thread organized Nova Fox. Much appreciated.
Like many of you I am still hoping CCP will put their collective foot down and tell DA they didn't get what they asked for. I would have a good laugh if CCP explained the 'rules' to DA in much they same way DA slagged off most of the Eve community.
